Lime Plaster Stove Hood

By Patrick Allard

So…stove hood in Primaterra lime (Classico) skip finish with a Scarpone lime wash patina is…DONE. Client has opted for AFM Safecoat Mexeseal. It’s is a great sealer, but a little too shiny for my taste.

The overall effect is of a monolithic piece of stone in the kitchen. Lime plaster is a great option for finishing stove hoods. It’s hard as rock (well, it is rock-limestone to be precise!); it’s washable, and maintenance is minimal. Heat won’t be an issue and the clients love it.
You can barely see the darker undertone, a very understated skip. Columns came out nice. Overall, really pleased with this.
